Lazy day = lazy Ee Ling + Frustrated ee ling

I am lazy today. Don't feel like doing anything. Aside from the SPSS introductory course that I went this morning and some experimental data keying plus analysis, that's all about it for today. The rest 4-6 hours, I was like streaming on the net. Looking where is the best travelling place and where there are good food to eat. The best is to watch online drama and anime on Mysoju and VeohTV .... Hahaha.. Quite listless and restless today ... probably the lazy worms are creeping around. Plus I feel quite frustrated today. Just dont know why. Hope to punch and bite on something ..... even that I am too lazy to do that ... sigh .... I just want to scream out loud!!!!!!!!!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! #@*@#$$ ... Somehow anyhow felt something is missing in me ... something is not right ...
Just wondering why cant I be more enthusiastic in the research these few weeks or I have been working too hard past months that makes me fire down. Hmm ... guess I must fire up myself!!! Be more diligent~~~ Read more papers to solve the problem .... =_=" Sweat ...... I am FRUST!! FRUST! FRUST! FRUST! FRUST! FRUST!!!!! Grrrrrr ..... HELP!!!! Who can save me????
Aiks.... feel like banging my head on the walls .. but cannot do that cos it will be very painful .... else I should try to bang my head on the laptop ... no... 1400SGD will fly .... Aiyooooooo~~~~~~~ this cannot that also cannot .... khun bok chan what to do ......
Alrite, enough with the nonsense. Hang the laundry and go to bed. Hope that I can get a good night sleep tonight. Have not been sleeping well for the past few nights due to mosquitoes. So tonight the mosquitoes better watch out. I am in a foul mood today!!

Lai Lai Casual Dining (Taiwanese Beef Noodles)

Went to Jurong Point again after photoshooting. Yuan yuan's would like to try the beef noodles. It's a Taiwanese food style shop!! This shop is known as Lai Lai. Lai Lai means come always. Quite a lot of people at that restaurant. And this restaurant food really impressed our taste buds.

The Taiwanese Beef Noodles. The soup is not oily at all. No beefy taste on the soup. The tendon is very nice too. Soft and chewy.. Hmmm... the taste still lingers in my mouth. Hahahhahaha.... Good one. THough we ordered a small one, the portion is still very big. Therefore, I wasted half bowl of the noodles. Sad na ka~~ rating 4 stars

Together with the noodles is the brinjal pork floss. taste ordinary but it goes very well with their fried onion chillies. Just like the taiwanese tempura. rating 3 stars

The other good small side dish is the pork intestine. Taste superb. I am a person who dont eat pork intestine. But after tasting this, it really taste very very great!!!!! Love it sooo much. Rating 4 stars

So fool around with the food for a while. I took the pics with Yuan yuan. See how we devour the food! Look how pretty she is!!! Itadakimasu~~~~~

Normal me---------------------> A GLUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Red Lacquer: Penang Peranakan

Met Ardy today for dinner. At the same time, borrowed some money from him due to the delay of my scholarship. Sad... I hope they are able to put it in next month since Hannah said that she already submitted the scholarship renewal form to the Graduate School of Engineering. Pray they will backpay me...
Ok ok today's topic is not about the grumbles and complaints. Well, my when I set my foot on Jurong Point, I saw a totally brand new Jurong Point. The long constructed building/condo is done!! Looks very grand and nice. Since Ardy was late (since he overslept ... cant blame him cos he has been too busy with his schoolwork), so I decided to take a window shopping over there. There are really lots of shops and restaurants over there. Ranging from low end to high end. It really caters the need from all working range of people. I love this concept. Anyone can just shop shop and shop!! Even you dont wish to buy anything, window shopping is fine too. ^_^

Finally, Ardy arrived and I was famished. My exploration wasn't in vain. I suggested Ardy that we went for Penang Peranakan (Penang food). I missed the food in Penang soooooooo much!!! Therefore, decided to try it over there and see if the taste are the same. The name is depicted in the pictures. Ambience is not too bad too.

We waited for our food and to our disappointment, those who ordered later than us got their food first. The old couple next to our table started to make noise when our food was served (cos they come in earlier than us). The lady make a fuss in the restaurant and start shouting that she wanted to cancel her order and get out of the restaurant. She was so scary ^~^ Well, I guess the manager somehow got shocked. That always happen when you have too many people in the restaurant. Sometimes, I guess we just need to be a little bit understanding and polite when we are talking to people. However, still, the restaurant is at fault. Hope that they learnt their lesson well ^_^. By having bad experience, you serve better. So dont take it to heart ja~~

We ordered on Loh Bak (pork in taufu skin rolls) and they supplemented us with deep fried soft taufu. They tasted alright. I still love the Loh Bak by Dua Yi!! Currently, cant find any sellers that can beat her!!

To go with our rice, we ordered Kapitan Curry Chicken. This supposed to be a nyonya kind of food. This one taste good but not to the extent that you will go WOW. The smell of the coconut milk and the leaves are very strong. This leaves the aroma lingering in your mouth though.
The second dish we ordered is fried long beans with prawns. They used chilli paste (belacan) and dried shrimps to fried this dish. This one taste not too bad too. But I guess everyone who knows how to cook can make this dish. But we are just too lazy cos quite a number of steps in cooking this though.

Overall, to me, the food doesnt make me crave to go back for more. It doesnt taste too bad if you miss Penang food but definitely, you have to go Penang yourself in order to taste the authenticness. Awww... miss Penang food soooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!

DMC-FZ10: My pink rubies

Today not going anywhere. Just laze around watching my Thai Lakorn (Thai Drama) and playing with my DMC-FZ10 camera again. This time I took out my pink rubies ring for shooting. Since the lighting in my house was too dark (due to the rainy days), I adjusted the photos using GIMP. Adjusted using the curves, levels, brightness and colour balance of the pics. Out of 23 only a few can be used. Need to improve on the skill further. Those pics took me about 2 hours including the shooting and the picture adjustment. Here are the works! Enjoy~~

Yesterday Once More

Came across this song today. I just love it! By carpenters:-

When I was young I'd listen to the radio
Waiting for my favorite songs
When they played I'd sing along,
It make me smile.
Those were such happy times and not so long ago
How I wondered where they'd gone.

But they're back again just like a long lost friend
All the songs I love so well.
Every shalala every wo'wo still shines.
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're starting to sing so fine
When they get to the part where he's breaking her heart
It can really make me cry just like before.
It's yesterday once more. (Shoobie do lang lang) (Shoobie do lang lang)

Looking back on how it was in years gone by
And the good times that had makes today seem rather sad,
So much has changed.
It was songs of love that I would sing to them
And I'd memorise each word.
Those old melodies still sound so good to me
As they melt the years away E
very shalala every wo'wo still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're starting to sing so fine

All my best memorise come back clearly to me
Some can even make me cry just like before.
It's yesterday once more. (Shoobie do lang lang)
Every shalala every wo'wo still shines.
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're starting to sing so fine
Every shalala every wo'wo still shines.
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're starting to sing so fine

Life is all about forgive and forget

Came accross this article while I was browsing through the web. And I think it should be something we ponder and think about it. I just put a few quotes. For full details, do refer from the website in the following:-
Benefits of forgiving
  • When we forgive and accept forgiveness, we will heal. The psychophysiology of the human requires harmony and balance in its components; body, mind and spirit. Reconciliation harmonizes not only human relationships, but restores the harmony within the mind. This occurs partly because the person is no longer constantly at war with the image of the person’s enemies in their mind.
  • When we forgive and reconcile we are mentally healthier and physically more vibrant. Interpersonal conflict eventually becomes intrapsychic conflict. This creates disharmony and a disequilibrium that consumes energy needlessly. God has constructed the mind so that it will normally seek to resolve conflict. It does this by: thinking a lot, or talking a lot to others, or contributing to the re-enactment of the unresolved conflict. Once harmony is restored, the spirit, mind and body function more efficiently and more harmoniously. Having reconciled, a person becomes more vigorous, healthy and lives longer.
  • When we forgive, we can be loved by those whom we forgive. The victim becomes a perpetrator by hating the perpetrator in their heart, not praying for them, not trying to meet their needs, often besmirching their reputation, and holding them in a state of unforgiveness. God makes it very clear, that what we bind with unforgiveness on earth is bound in heaven.6 When we forgive the perpetrator they are freed and in a position to love us.
  • As we forgive, we understand better. Unforgiveness results in ignorance and self-imposed blindness. If we forgive, we are not afraid of truth. To know the truth, we must be courageous. By knowing the truth, we become more courageous and more able to know the truth.

The Results of Unforgiveness

  • We will go on remembering sick, sordid and painful history. Those memories will eventually poison our mind, producing a dismal outlook on oneself and life.
  • You become like those you do not forgive. The mind, through transacting, invariably becomes more like the things that it concentrates on. When one is concentrating on a perpetrator, trying hard to resolve the problem or expressing angry thoughts, one becomes like that person. You become like those you hate.
  • Until we forgive, history must repeat itself. Because humans are constructed to be as efficient as possible, people will automatically tend to help recreate unresolved conflicts. Therefore their history will continue to repeat in tragic re-enactments. That history becomes foisted onto one’s family. Now they have to be part of that painful re-enactment to at least the third and fourth generation.
  • Until we forgive and reconcile, we will not forget. Until we forget, the brain becomes increasingly stuffed with sordid material, distorting our personality and interfering with our ability to see the truth, discover and to invent beautiful things.
  • If we don’t forgive, we become alienated from our true selves, and the true selves of others. We cannot see clearly who we are and who they are. We are more likely to be trapped into false relationships. We are more likely to be seduced and used by others.
  • Without forgiveness, people are difficult to love. Until they forgive the perpetrator, they cannot be blessed and loved by the perpetrator.
When you are hurt, you....
  • To try and ignore it: You may pretend it didn’t happen. When you find you can’t forget that it happened, you will attempt to distract yourself with activity, pleasure, travel, numb yourself with alcohol, drugs or medication, or harm yourself through risk taking.
  • Go on re-enacting the unresolved conflicts, repeating the tragedy and ingraining the deep pain even deeper.
  • Engage in a futile process of getting even through revenge or court action. You soon find that nobody gets even. One time, riding a taxi to the airport out of war torn Belfast, I asked the driver when the two sides of that sectarian violence would stop killing each other. “Oh,” he said, “when we get even.” Can you ever get even? I doubt it very much. So the only reasonable option is reconciliation. But people know reconciliation is difficult. They will try to avoid it by avoiding the basic problem, denying the necessity, becoming ill, go to war, or becoming unwell.
The Process of Forgiving
The process of reconciliation is difficult and can be dangerous. If you wonder how hard it is, ask God. It was the most difficult he did. It cost him the life of his son. It appears that humans would rather go to war and kill each other than engage in the arduous process of reconciliation, but it is the only option.
  • You must accept the truth of who you are and what you have been doing. Jesus said no one should criticize the other, trying to point out a speck of problems when you have a whole plank of them in yourself.8 Your unresolved problems occlude your vision. If you cannot see yourself clearly, you certainly are not in a position to see clearly anybody else. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.9 In the tragic triangle, everybody contributes. In matters of life and death, there are no innocent bystanders.10 You are either striving to prevent or correct the effects of the problem, or you are contributing to them. You can never say, “I wasn’t involved.” If I see a person in individual psychotherapy who has been sexually abused by her stepfather, who is she most angry at? Her mother. Why? Because her mother should have, could have done something. However, if the daughter approaches her mother and says, “Why didn’t you do something?” the mother’s characteristic defense or excuse that has been handed down through the ages in all these situations – “I didn’t see, I didn’t hear, I didn’t know, and besides there’s nothing I could have done about it.”.
  • Change. We have to become as adult as possible, a pilgrim, setting aside false faces and accepting and mourning the loss of the person we should have become (PISHB). Then only can we engage in the process of reconciliation without distorting things. Then and then only can we be effective in reconciling. Take the initiative. We can’t afford to wait. Time is always of the essence. While you are waiting for somebody to take the initiative and say sorry, people die, people change or die, and the opportunity to love and grow is lost.
  • Forgive and accept forgiveness. If people apologize, we must forgive them as often as they apologize. “Then Peter came to him and asked, "Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?" "No!" Jesus replied, "seventy times seven!” 13 “Even if he wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, forgive him." 14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” 15 We have the prerogative of discerning whether the apology is genuine or not. If it is not, we may decline. But in doing so, we must encourage the other person to try again and give them hints about how they should apologize fully and correctly. We must remember that we cannot go to church until we are reconciled with our brother. “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.” 16

V-Day Specials

Hurray. It's V-Day! 2nd time received flowers in my life after the 1st one that is during my birthday!! Yay... thanks Peace. Had a great time!! Isn't the roses beautiful? I had other gift as well from him but this is not to be announced publicly. Sorry folks. I love the gift you gave me Peace. That's the first time I receive a gift on V-Day from a special person. Ehem..ehem.. ok today's topic is related to food.

It's the MOF-Chinese Cuisines located at West Coast Plaza. Cant really remember which floor. Well, you guys can take a walk. They have dim sum and other cooked food like noodles, rice etc. We tried out their dim sum and ice-cream. It just taste soooooo goood!!!! The stone bowl is COD fish fried rice. That's a good one. I just love it very much!!!! Hmm... maybe should tried something there again =)... drooling....
At night, we went to The New Habour Cafe and Bar for dinner. Due to the dim lights, I am unable to capture a very good pics on that. We had Escargot. This is my first time eating escargot in my life. Initially, we ordered baked garlic and butter mussels but this item was so hot. It was sold out... sad. I was so scared to try escargot but Peace reassured that this definitely taste very good. Well, I trusted him. Here came the escargot. Eee.... it's snail .... and I was like having goosebumps .. Gulp ... snail ... gulp... Timidly, I tried one. It was wow superb!! Totally different from what I had imagined. I thought it would taste like some dead fish but it turned out that this was superb!! Really superb!! So the lesson learnt is never judge a book by its cover! Do not labelled something as bad when you do not know them well - this applies to what we are doing in our personal life and the people that we met - try to get know everything before you jump into any conclusion ^_^ then your life will be much more beautiful ...

That's for a starter. It's show time for the main course. Peace ordered Pork Mushrooms. It tasted really delicious. Yummy yummy yum!!! Really very very nice!! Love it soooooo sooooooo much!!!!! I cant help but steal the sour cabbage from him. Since he didnt like it, I took it all. Hahahhahaha... cant resist tasty food.

My main dish wasnt lose out in any way either. I had Crackling Roast Pork. Awwwwww... the roast pork was crunchy and soft at the same time. Very very smooth. It taste very good even without any sauce. The sidedish was very fresh too. Really love it!!!

Really enjoyed the night very much!! Thanks Peace for such a wonderful and unforgetable night!! You are the best and the sweetest I ever met!! I am blessed and contented with what I have now. What more could I ask ^_^

Min's Visit Part 3: Sentosa

During Min's visit, Ardy and me took her to Sentosa too since she never been to the beach there. Ardy said we both look alike from the back. I asked him how. He said well, the typical girls type. Hmmm... I dont know how typical girls type looks like and asked him to take a pic of us from the back. Yeah ... now I understand why. Looks really similar from the back. Long hair and stuff... well a typical girl. Hehehehe....

We regretted we didnt bring any clothes to change. So cant play the water there. The water is sooo cooling the moment you stepped into the water. It really tempted us and was really testing our patience....Next time, I must jump into the water and play!!!!!! That visit just cant satisfied me....grr.....*frowning*

While Min's by the water, I snapped a pic on my pair of feet. One feet was too lonesome.....

Min's Visit Part 2: The NTU Visit

Brought Min to NTU for a visit. Coincidentally, my another cousin Ardy who is studying in NTU was having a martial arts (Wushu) performance that night. So we stay from start till the end. First, they have to warm up. His friend Wan Qing was with him. Quite a good looking chap. Taekwando black belt. Too bad he is already attached else will intro some girls to him. Aiya... he missed Hahahhahaa... just kidding dont take it too seriously. Just look at him he can really stretch his legs. Ardy was mischievious. He took off one of his shoes. Hahhahaa.. That was hillarious....

See... the shoe was in front of him instead of his feet.

Meanwhile, Min's and me were playing with the rod, which Cheng Liang is using. Both of us really has got nothing to do.

Hmmm... look at my stance. I can do martial arts as well. So.. guys beware if you dont want to get hit by me. Hahahhahaha

Snapped some pics while they are performing. A nice one. They have fists, kicks, dagger, rod and sword. The lady who is playing sword was good. I like sword better. Hehehehee...

The performance was for the Malaysian Student Association Chinese New Year reunion dinner. Hmm.. quite meaningful ones for us who are studying abroad. Had a great time!!

Tired...work is still piling higher

Can't really keep myself awake though it's 8.36pm now. The concentration in class is less than what I can do normally. Sigh... I guess my supervisor saw me and another PhD dozing off. He must be shaking his head inside "Sigh...those students". Maybe due to the inventories that I am doing these few days that makes me looking at the PCs for a few hours non-stop. Aiks... need to find a way to get rid of the work. Readings, experiments, problem solving etc are queing waiting for me to handle them one by one. I am really looking forward to Saturday. Hoping I can get a breather!
Time flies real fast and we are in February now. I have to drive myself in doing more experimental works cos there will be a big moving in August 2009. I predict that there will be about 2-3 months where I cant do my work. Sadly, the previous experimental results cannot be used due to setup problem. This means I need to redo everything again. Solving this problem now. Hopefully, things will get better. I don't mind the troubles as long as it's worth it. I believed all the hard work will not be in vain and it will be well paid off. As the saying goes "No pain, no gain. By having much pain, you will definitely gain much more!"

Min's Visit Part 1: Departure from JB City Square

Min's visited Singapore on the 7th February 2009. Her visits here though was short but it was fun. I appointed her at City Square, Johor Bahru . A brief intro of City Square, it's a shopping mall consist of cinema, clothes, bags, shoes, eateries, cafes etc. Basically, you can get everything there and things arent that expensive too. No wonder Singaporean love to cross over. Hehehehhe.....Since I was later than the promised time, I waited for Uncle to drop her off at City Square. While waiting, I took some pictures of the mall surrounding. Well, Chinese New Year was still in the air, therefore snap the decor of the mall.

At the same time, love is in the air. You can see some decor for Valentines and they are promoting couple studio shot. For RM88 you can get a total make over by the studio for the couple plus a photoshot and you can get back a 4R size photo for the couple. Hmm.. quite a good deal but too bad the other half was not there. Cant take the pics... sad..... sob*sob* T_T
There were some stalls selling Valentine's gift too. It was beautifully decorated too. Love the look of the stall and therefore, snapped the photo from second floor. Hehehehehe....

Finally, met up with min. Before we depart to Singapore, we were able to snap some pics with the decor at the groundfloor. Hahahahhahaa

Alrite, Singapore here we go!!!
To be continue........
